Walk The Line

Ok, so tonight I finally got to see the movie I have been waiting all summer to see. Here in Hollywood, there are posters up for movies months before they come out just there to tease you.

A while back there was a very influential commercial for Applebees or Chilis with the song "Ring of Fire." But instead of eating their ribs, I started listening to Johnny Cash.

At first it was just his biggest songs, "Ring of Fire," "Walk the Line," and "Folsom Prison Blues," but the more I listened to those, I started to listen to others. The more songs I listened to, the more I started to find out about it him. The more I found out about him, the more I became a fan.

With the build up for a movie like this, all the old concert footage and promotion that comes along with a biopic, the more of a chance there is to be disappointed. I was relieved when I found out that John had approved the script and picked Joaquin. There was no disappointment with this movie. It was excellent.

It is an excellent story about John, his relationship with June, and his struggles with drug addiction.

Excellent acting with Joaquin and Reese.

Easily one of my favorite movies.

Mood

Ok, so tonight I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. when I passed Mood, L.A.'s hottest club right now. I saw Shia Labeouf star of Disney's "Holes" and "The Greatest Game Ever Played" trying to get into Mood, but the bouncer wouldn't let him in, because he isn't old enough. You could tell that Shia was already drunk or high. It was kind of sad to see him like that. I went up to talk to him, and he was definitely on something. Well, I guess that is what Hollywood does to a person.

Back to school

Back to school,
Back to school,
To prove to my dad
That I'm not a fool.

Ok, so I started my acting class today at Playhouse West. Former students include Ashley Judd, Sean Astin, Jim Carrey, James Franco and more. Also, Jeff Goldblume is one of the teachers.

It was pretty fun. I'm looking forward to it. So, it is just one more step towards changing the world through film and television.

November 1, 2005

Ok, so last night as I was fighting my way through the crazy packed Halloween crowd last night on Hollywood Blvd. on my way to the gym, I felt pain in my left big toe. When I went to bed, I couldn't go to sleep because the pain was so much.

So at about 5 I got up to use the restroom, and as I was washing my hands, I felt a little dizzy. Walking back to my room, I remember putting my hands on the door post, then I woke up with pain on the back of my head. I I turned my head and realized that I was laying next a 35 pound dumbbell.

I remember when I was a kid complaining about a pain somewhere, my dad would offer to hurt another part of my body so that my original pain would go away. That method actually works. As I was laying there, I felt no pain at all. It was my first relief all night. I thought maybe I was dead or something.

After a few minutes, I got back in bed and fell asleep. I went to the doctor later, and found out it was an ingrown toe nail. The doctor said that he could remove.

He stuck my toe with a huge needle to numb it, but when he started to remove the side half of my toe nail, I found out that my toe wasn't all the way numb.

Well, he cut half my toe nail off, and that was the end of the pain. Plus my killer insurance from Gap, inc. took care of all but $10 of the bill. Not too shabby.
