Bloods and Crips

Ok, so today, I was in the mall looking at DVDs when a bunch of people started running by the mall. I heard a bunch of yelling, so naturally I went out to see what was going on. There was a bunch of bloods and crips on the first floor going at it.

I was on the second floor, so I had a pretty good view of the action.
At first it was just a bunch of running around, screaming, and throwing gang signs, but then a bunch of them started fighting. They knocked down a display at Starbucks, breaking all the mugs. All the stores in the area closed their gates. I felt like I was in a Western where all the shops close down during the showdown.

The security guards kept trying to break it up, but they would just runaround to a different place. One guy picked up a chair and busted it aross another dudes head. I had a good view of that, and even got it on my video phone.

A couple minutes later, the police showed up with their guns drawn. It was pretty crazy, I never seen anything like it in my life. The mall is 3 stories with the shops around the outside, and the middle opened up. People were lined up all around the railings whatching it like it was some kind of sporting event. But, I guess people just have to celebrate Martin Luther King day in their own way.

Bloodrayne

Ok, so last week, my and some friends were walking down Hollywood Blvd. when this guy comes up to us with some posters for the movie "Bloodrayne." He asked us to say some stuff on camera about "Bloodrayne", so we were holding up the poster and saying what a great movie it is. I had never seen anything about the movie, and it's not coming out until January 6. Well, a producer was there, and gave us tickets to the premiere tonight and to the after party.

"Bloodrayne" is based on a video game, and is about Rayne, this half-vampire/human (Kristanna Loken) who is trying to avenge her mother's death.

Michael Madsen ("Reservoir Dogs") plays some kind of vampire hunter. I told him that whenever I hear "Stuck in the Middle With You" I think of him cutting that guys ear off. He said, "Yeah, I know. I hear that song all the time. It's crazy."

Billy Zane ("Titanic") is also in the film.

After the movie, I got to go to the after party at the Roosevelt Hotel. It was pretty cool. Free food and free drinks! But over all, it was just another night in Hollywood.

Scrubs

Ok, so tonight was the 2 episode premiere of the fifth season of "Scrubs", the all-time best show ever to come on TV. It was a hilarious night of comedy. I'm not going to tell you what happened, but you should definitely check out next weeks episode. The first two season are also on DVD.

New Years

Well, not having any real plans for New Years, I decided to take the subway to Universal Studios. I heard that something was going on so I thought I would check it out. I got there at 11:30, but all that was going on was that there were a bunch of stores open. I tried to buy some Starbucks coffee, but it was just a small stand so they didn't have what I wanted. There was a countdown and at midnight they shot up some confetti. It was pretty cool I guess. It was the first time that I was in a crowd counting down to New Years. Well, we will never see 2005 again.
